Our History
Launched in 2005, Blue Maple initially partnered with Wayfarer Marine in Camden, where Nik was working at the time. We retain close ties with the local Marine industry, but the focus of the work gradually began to expand and swing toward more work with individuals and small businesses in the local area.
Nik hired Matt full-time in May of 2012 to help meet expanding customer demand. The business moved from Nik’s home to offices in Union for a year. Then in September 2015 Blue Maple to its current location on the waterfront in Thomaston.
As technology has changed over the years, Blue Maple has adjusted to help customers meet their needs in this changing landscape. We started with lots of computer repair, but now computers usually get replaced before they break. The growing proliferation of handheld and wireless devices has resulted in WiFi networking becoming a substantial part of the business. Whatever your needs, we can suppport you with a wide variety of jobs big or small.
Our Approach
We strive to match available technologies to the needs of our customers, providing value with quality advice, equipment and service, so they can get on with doing what they do best.

We Are
OWner
Nik DeMaria
Growing up on the Midcoast, Nik's life-long, self-taught interest in science and technology deepened when he was introduced to his first computer at Camden-Rockport High School. After going on to graduate from DeVry Institute of Technology in 1986 with a BS in Electronics Engineering Technology, Nik went to work in the Marine Systems Division of Rockwell International in Anaheim, California. His work on Navy projects began with inter-computer communications systems on submarines and surface ships. The work shifted over time, and for the last few years with Rockwell, Nik worked developing autonomous underwater vehicles.
With the birth of the first child of four in 1993, the family decided to set down roots back East. Nik became a staff member at Arrowhead Camping Ministries, eventually becoming the business manager for this large and growing ministry in Northeast Pennsylvania. For nearly 10 years, Pennsylvania provided fruitful work and proved to be a wonderful place to raise kids!
The family returned to Maine in 2004 and now reside in Nik’s hometown of Rockport. His experience working in the Electronics Department of Wayfarer Marine in Camden led to the launch of Blue Maple in July 2005.
Nik's work focuses primarily in networking, servers, project management and security for our business clients.
